Simon Amura

Head Teacher | Higher Phase

 

Simon studied at Kingston University, from where he graduated with a degree in Music, before completing a PGCE in Secondary Music at the same institution. 

Simon went straight into teaching and took up a post as Director of Music at a very successful boys school in South West London. During this time he continued his studies at a number of universities and completed further qualifications at PGCert, PGDip and Masters level. After thirteen years of leading a music department, he chose to leave the UK and came to Kuwait and BSK in 2013. He has since held the roles of Subject Component Coordinator of Secondary Music, Director of Music, Upper Department Coordinator and Assistant Head Teacher Academic for Years 9-13 and is now Head Teacher of the Higher Phase.
