At the Awards Evening on Wednesday 12 October 2016, Subject Awards were given to the students who, whilst in Years 6-10 in 2014-15, each achieved the highest result in their year group in the internal end-of-year examination. In the event of a tie, or for subjects which did not hold end-of-year examinations, formal assessment results were compared in reverse chronological order until a winner was identified. However, in Physical Education, the full skills rotation was considered. In the unlikely event of equal marks across all formal assessments, the subject team considered other differentiating factors.
At the Festival of Achievement and Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday 12 April 2016, subject awards were presented to Year 11 students who obtain the top marks in their January mock examinations, and to AS and A2 students who obtained the top marks in the internal midyear examinations held in January. In the event of equal results, formal assessments were compared in reverse chronological order. For subjects in which there were no mock or midyear examinations, the top performing student was identified using internal criteria.
