Scrabble Club is available to students in Years 6, 7 and 8.
The broad aim of the Scrabble Club is to ensure that students have fun. Scrabble is a game for two, three or four players. Play consists of word building, using seven letters selected randomly; each letter tile has a score attached to it. The game can help students develop and practise spelling, as well as help to extend their vocabulary. The club also allows students to interact with other students in the Middle Department.
The Scrabble Club is run by English teacher Mr David Howarth, who will be happy to talk to you about the club.
The club meets every Monday and Wednesday during Break 2 in Room 246. Students wishing to join the club need to see Mr David for a letter in order to obtain parental consent.
So if you want to improve your spelling and vocabulary, as well as have fun, during break times, what are you waiting for? Come and see Mr David Howarth straight away!
