Morning Times

The gate to the Outer Courtyard is opened at 07.00 on school days. The Outer Courtyard is supervised and provides water, shelter and toilet facilities.

Students in Reception line-up in the Outer Courtyard and from 07.25 are escorted to their tutor room by their teacher and their teacher’s assistant.

At 07.32 a bell sounds to invite students from Year 1-13 to move to their line-up positions in the Inner and Outer Courtyards.

At 07.35 a second bell sounds and all students respond to a customary chant offering best wishes to the people of Kuwait, the ruling family and the people of Arabia. The chant is followed by the singing of the Kuwait National Anthem. Following the National Anthem, students move to their tutor bases for morning registration.

Lesson Times

The School Day consists of 10 periods arranged in 5 ‘lessons’, each being a ‘double period’. Between lessons are breaks of varying lengths.

Afternoon Times

The last lesson finishes at 14.25 when Primary students (Reception to Year 5) are escorted to the Outer Courtyard or released onto waiting buses. At 14.25, Secondary (Year 6-13) students attend afternoon registration.

At 14.30, the gates to the Outer Courtyard are opened for parents to enter and to take their children home. Also at 14.30, Secondary students who travel by bus are released to go to their buses.

At 14.35, all remaining Year 6-11 students are escorted by their tutors to the Outer Courtyard and all remaining Sixth Form students are released. Those students not attending afterschool activities are required to leave the school premises by 14.45.
