Each Year 6-8 Class Tutor appoints two monitors for their tutor group. In Year 9-10 there is one monitor per tutor group. Class Monitors are chosen during the fifth full week of the first term.
Class Monitors will be boys or girls (not necessarily one of each) who are not already Prefects, House Captains or Secondary School Councillors.
Each Class Monitor is given a badge of office.
Class Monitors are responsible for:
The Class Tutor may award up to one housepoint per two weeks to a Class Monitor who does their job well.
Year 6 Class Monitors who are appointed before becoming Prefects may remain in post as Class Monitors.
The Department Coordinator may decide to replace some Class Monitors during the academic year. If so, the Class Tutor will select one or two new monitors who are not already Prefects, House Captains or Secondary School Councillors.
