Mr Jonathan Storer BEd(Hons)
Chair of Humanities
History Coordinator
Social Studies Coordinator

Jonathan graduated in Education and obtained his teaching qualification from the University of Exeter. After seven years teaching History and Physical Education in London, he moved to Kuwait in 2002. Jonathan is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Military History. His personal interests include British politics, the role of the Special Operations Executive during World War II and the military emergence of Prussia as a European power during the 19th Century.

Mr Oliver Miller BSc(Hons) PGCE
Geography Coordinator

Oliver graduated with an Honours Geography degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 2001. He has taught in the United Kingdom, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. Oliver is currently Geography Coordinator, International Award Coordinator and Field Studies Coordinator. He enjoys travelling and a variety of outdoor pursuits.

Mr Ian Masters MA PGCE
History Teacher

Ian graduated in History from De Montfort University, and obtained an MA in Social History from the University of Warwick before qualifying as a History teacher in 1997. After ten years of teaching History and politics in England, he moved to Kuwait in 2008. Ian has represented Great Britain in the sport of Canoe Slalom, and spent several years coaching the Great Britain junior Canoe Slalom Team. He is a keen snowboarder in his holidays and goes out canoeing in the Gulf whenever he has the opportunity.

Miss Gemma Cullen BSc(Hons) PGCE
Geography Teacher

Gemma graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008 with a bachelors degree in Geography. The following year, she completed her PGCE at Liverpool Hope University. Gemma enjoys travelling and spent the summer of 2009 inter-railing across Eastern Europe. She plays a variety of sports, including netball, tennis, badminton and Gaelic football. Her aims for this year are to try and visit as many new countries as possible and to learn how to cook!

Miss Justine Simm BA(Hons) PGCE
Social Studies Teacher

Justine Simm graduated with a BA in Combined Honours from the University of Liverpool and obtained her teaching qualification from Keele University. After six years of teaching ICT in London, where she was second in charge of her department, she moved to Kuwait in 2007. Justine's personal interests include travel, literature and team sports.

Mr Howard Jones BA(Hons) PGCE
Social Studies Teacher

Howard graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 1997, having read International Business Studies and German. The following year, he was awarded his teaching qualification from Lancaster University. After ten years in Britain teaching and leading a subject department, Howard moved to Kuwait in 2009 and joined The British School of Kuwait. His personal interests include investment strategies, music, playing the clarinet and travelling.
