Secondary Departments

At BSK, the word ‘departments’ is not used when referring to subject components or the teams of teachers who manage curriculum design and delivery for those subjects. Rather, ‘department’ refers to a collection of year groups, led by an experienced curricular and pastoral manager known as a Department Coordinator (DC).

The Secondary phase at BSK comprises three such departments:

• Middle Department (Years 6-8)
• Upper Department (Years 9-11)
• Sixth Form Department (Years 12-13).
