The Design and Technology Club is open to all Secondary students regardless of whether or not they undertake D&T lessons as part of their normal curriculum. The D&T Club takes place every day during Break 3, in the fully equipped B08 workshop with at least two teachers.
Places in the D&T Club are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, although previous attendance involvement in the club and the ability of the student to work independently are also considered.
Students may undertake approved personal projects with guidance from the teachers, or they may work on class projects to extend their curricular work. Projects can be undertaken in the areas of Resistant Materials (wood, metal and plastic etc.) or Textiles, and can include Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacture activities.
