Chess Club

The aims of the Chess Club are:

• to introduce the game of chess to as many new players as possible
• to help improve the standard of players
• to foster good sportsmanship amongst competitors
• to promote an attitude whereby the stronger players are willing to help those less able than themselves.

Chess Club meets in room G19 (the old "LRC") during Break 3 each Monday and Wednesday.

The Chess Club holds a knockout cup competition during April and May. Cups and medals may be won!

At present, Chess Club is open to students in Years 5-8, as well as older students who were members when they were in these year groups.
