Mr Andrew Moulden BSc(Hons) PGCE CMath
Head Teacher

Andrew graduated in Mathematics and obtained his teaching qualification from the University of Glasgow. Having taught Mathematics and Computing in Scotland for five years, he joined BSK in 1998. Andrew has held a range of positions, including Summer Camp Director, Publications Coordinator, Mathematics Coordinator and Sixth Form Coordinator. He was appointed as Head Teacher in 2010. Andrew’s personal interests include experimental music and internet commerce. He also manages BSK’s website and social media presence.

Mr Nicholas Smith BSc(Hons) PGCE
Assistant Head Teacher

Nicholas graduated in Chemistry and Chemical Technology and obtained his PGCE from King’s College London. Having taught in London for a number of years, Nicholas moved to Jordan in 1995. He joined BSK as Chemistry Coordinator in 1997 and has since been Chair of Science, Staff Monitoring Coordinator, Health and Safety Coordinator and Producer of the school show. As AHT, his responsibilities include the school timetable, staff absence cover and administration of the school’s information management system.

Ms Estelle Jones BA(Hons) QTS
Middle Department Coordinator

Estelle graduated with Qualified Teacher Status in English from the University of Lancaster. After five years teaching English Literature and Language, she moved with her husband and children to join The British School of Kuwait in 2009. Having taught English from Year 6 to 13 and worked as Assistant Department Coordinator, Estelle became Middle Department Coordinator in 2011. Her personal interests include travelling, reading and spending time with her family.

Mr John Lambert BSc(Hons) MBA PGCE
Assistant Head Teacher
Upper Department Coordinator

John graduated in Applied Biology from the University of Hull and obtained his PGCE at the University of Cambridge. His MBA is in Educational Management. John moved to Kuwait in 1995 and joined BSK as Biology Coordinator in 2005, becoming Upper Department Coordinator in 2006 and Assistant Head Teacher in 2012. A major strand of John's work is to develop educational and vocational links within Kuwait and internationally. His personal interests include running and current affairs.

Ms Emma Bowie BA(Hons) PGCE
Sixth Form Coordinator

Emma graduated with a degree in English Studies from the University of Northumbria and then obtained her PGCE in Secondary English from St Mary's College, Durham University. Before moving into international education, she taught at a renowned independent school in the north-east of England. Emma moved to Kuwait in 2005 and joined BSK as Assistant English Coordinator, becoming English Coordinator in 2008 and Sixth Form Coordinator in 2012. Her personal interests include travel, literature and the theatre.

Miss Khadija Broome BA(Hons) PGCE
Assistant Department Coordinator

Khadija graduated from Queen Mary, University of London, with a degree in English Literature and then qualified as an English teacher at the Institute of Education, London. Khadija began her teaching career in 2005 and after four years teaching English in west London, she moved to Kuwait and joined BSK in 2010. Khadija was appointed as Assistant Department Coordinator in 2012. Her personal interests include reading a range of literature, keeping fit and cooking.

Mr Jonathan Storer BEd(Hons)
Senior Teacher

Jonathan graduated in Education and obtained his teaching qualification from the University of Exeter. After seven years teaching History and Physical Education in London, he moved to Kuwait in 2002. Jonathan is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Military History. His personal interests include British politics, the role of the Special Operations Executive during World War II and the military emergence of Prussia as a European power during the 19th Century.

This group of senior staff meets termly to review progress on strategic and tactical plans, and to advise the Secondary Leadership Team on operational issues. Chaired by the Head Teacher, SDG comprises:
