A group of Sixth Form Prefects from The British School of Kuwait (BSK) accompanied by Dr Clifford Cheung visited Al Sidra in the Kuwait Cancer Control Centre to present a cheque for KD 4,000 which was raised during the annual Pink events held at The British School of Kuwait and The Sunshine Kindergarten. BSK and TSK have a long association with this most worthy charity and for a number of years have been raising funds for Al Sidra. Al Sidra Centre is the psychosocial support centre for women, and their families, who are living with cancer. They provide a warm, caring, safe and confidential environment with information and education about cancer at any stage of the disease. The visit enabled Dr Clifford and his students to meet the patients and staff and see how the money is used to provide complimentary therapies such as massage, yoga, creative visualisation and healing to help manage stress levels and symptoms and regain a sense of control.
