VLE
NC Levels are not used in Years 10-13. Instead, we use GCSE, IGCSE, AS and A Level grading criteria.
Different grade boundaries may be used if an assessed task is unrepresentative of actual GCSE, IGCSE, AS or A2 standard work, for example if it covers a restricted range of work or more basic skills.
At BSK, only Grades A*-C are considered to be I/GCSE pass grades. At AS and A Level, Grades A*-E are passes. At AS Level, Grade A* is used internally to indicate a high Grade A, but is not available in the final examination.
‘U’ means ‘unclassified’ and is not a pass grade. Grade X on a report indicates non-attendance.
